This policy describes how CheeklyPicks (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use https://cheeklypicks.com. CheeklyPicks is an editorial Amazon Associates site for baby and nursery gear—not a storefront that takes payment.

Information we collect

Technical data. When you browse, our servers and providers may process IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.

Account data. If you create a parent account, we store your Firebase Auth identity (user id, email, display name, photo URL when provided) plus optional likes, wishlist groups, nursery-needs answers, notification preferences, content requests, and baby registries you create.

Guest registry activity. On a shared registry link, guests may submit a name, optional email, RSVP, and gift-claim notes. That data is visible to the registry host and stored so claims are not double-booked.

AI assistant. Messages you send to the CheeklyPicks assistant are processed by our AI providers to generate replies. Do not submit sensitive personal information (health details, government IDs, payment data) in prompts.

Help requests. If you ask CheeklyPicks to research a product or guide, we store the details and email you provide so we can follow up.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage as described in our cookie policy. In short:

• Strictly necessary — secure parent session cookie, admin session cookie, consent preference storage, Firebase Auth, and optional Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection.
• Functional (optional) — localStorage for compare/wishlist shortlists and registry guest name.
• Analytics (optional) — first-party pageview counts (path + referrer) only after you opt in; kept off when GPC is on. No third-party ad pixels.

How we use information

We use information to operate CheeklyPicks, personalize account features, send the notifications you opt into, prevent spam and abuse, improve editorial tools, and comply with law. We do not use your content to train public AI models beyond what our contracted providers do under their terms when processing requests.

Affiliate and third parties

Links to Amazon.com may include Associates tracking parameters so Amazon can attribute referrals. Amazon’s privacy policy applies on Amazon. We also use infrastructure and processors such as hosting, databases, Firebase Auth, AI APIs, and (when configured) Cloudflare Turnstile. Those providers process data under their own terms to deliver the service.

Sale, sharing, and advertising

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently run third-party ad or analytics pixels on CheeklyPicks. California residents may use Cookie settings and browser GPC signals; we honor GPC for analytics opt-out.

Retention

Account and registry data are kept while your account/registry remains active or as needed for security and legal obligations. You may delete account-linked data by contacting us; some records may remain in backups for a limited period.

Children

CheeklyPicks is intended for adults shopping for baby gear—not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and abuse

We use technical controls such as authenticated sessions, rate limits, origin checks, honeypots, and optional bot challenges to reduce spam and abuse of forms and AI endpoints. No method is perfect; please report suspected abuse to hello@cheeklypicks.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email hello@cheeklypicks.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
